The most precious trait I have is my passion to embrace new opportunities in the world. As an explorer, this page will focus on my extra-curricular activities. I'm a regular gymer. I love hiking, running, swimming, surfing, snowboarding, hot yoga etc. I graduated from Master in 2018 with tremendous success and delight. Here borrow my academic advisor's words: "Congratulations again on finishing your MS Applied Statistics with flying colors. I has been a true blessing being your teacher and research advisor and collaborator, and in your sincere commitment to excellence and your faithful dedication to your work, you have manifestly become a true spiritual daughter to me. You have done your part Qiuyi, and you have done it very honorably, and as you well know, I am very proud of you, and like any honorable father, I eagerly look forward to seeing the exceeding joy that will your heart as you start seeing the fulfillment and the manifestation of your Doctoral dream. I eagerly await!" 


I want to thank all of you who have or may come across my life. Thank you for believing in me and my capacity. Here especially thank to my advisor Ernest Fokoué who has given me great support and academic guidance for my US academic life. He told me to dream big, and the sky will be my limit on the first day of school back in 2016. Now I wish everyone of you who are browsing this website also dream big, work hard, and be the legendary.

I was introduced to Hot Yoga by my friend Yawen Guan. The first class I had was Ashtanga, led by instructor Nikki Jones. It was marvelous. Later I tried Inversions & Armed Balance taught by Brittany Ploss, and Traditional Bikram Method taught by Dea Tancharoen. Borrow my instructor Nikki's words:" I noticed stronger tolerance of stress, anxiety, reduced fatigue, increased energy, weight loss, muscle tone, strengthening. Within a year of starting my practice, my abdominal strength improved along with reduced swelling, scar tissue and numbness from c-sections. Over several years, circulation and motion challenges from my piano hands and running feet improved (reduced joint ache, stiffness, numbness) ..." Indeed this is one of the best activities for mental and physical strength.
